The Life of Jesus

The birth and death of Jesus Christ is the dividing point of world history —B.C. /A.D. “It is fitting, therefore, that Jesus Christ is the separation of "old" and "new." BC was "before Christ" and since His birth, we have been living "in the year of our Lord."

There isn’t one person in the universe that the life of Jesus doesn’t affect. Whether we choose to accept him or reject Him as Lord it will forever impact our eternal destiny. Every person that has ever lived will have to do something with Christ. (Philippians 2:10-11)

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but by me.” (John 14:6) Jesus defines Himself as “the life”. He also makes it clear that he is “the way” to the Father, cancelling every whim and doctrine that suggests that there are other ways to obtain eternal life outside of Him. He also proclaims He is “the truth”; He is God, He cannot lie. John 1:1 states, in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Jesus Christ is the Word incarnate—Truth living among us.
When we accept the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior our lives become hidden with His and it is no longer our life but His living in and through us. We literally should be living for Christ and not ourselves. Colossians 3:3-4 says, “For you died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you will also appear with Him in glory.” Have you made the exchange; Christ’s life for yours?
